Jennifer Fuentes is a bilingual (English/Spanish) Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #135083 under the supervision of Sarah Miller, LCSW. She completed her Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at Mount Saint Mary’s University. Jennifer has worked in the mental health and public service field for more than five years. She has worked with different populations ranging from children to older adults. Jennifer has worked in non profit mental health agencies, college campuses, and residential treatment centers.
She is also trained in the Gottman Method —integrating research-based interventions and helping couples deepen friendship, manage conflict, and build intimacy. Jennifer is also certified as Prepare/Enrich Facilitator to help premarital couples gain insight into their relationship’s strengths while also providing space to explore areas of growth. Her approach focuses on providing an individualized, collaborative treatment — Integrating Psychodynamic, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy techniques as needed to help explore and cope with the root causes of emotional distress.
She is passionate about working with individuals and couples who are dealing with depression, history of childhood trauma, grief, life transitions, career struggles, and relationships issues through exploring helpful coping skills.
Jennifer partners with her clients to create conscious awareness of healthier ways of coping and experiencing a holistic and fulfilling relationship with themselves and others.
